Four St George and Sutherland Shire players have been chosen to represent NSW PSSA at the School Sport Australia under-12s cricket titles.
Ashton Frazer (Mortdale Public School), Josh Cameron (Oatley PS), Kobey Freer (Heathcote PS) and Lachlan Ritchie (Inaburra) were chosen in the NSW side after their performances at the five-day NSW PSSA primary cricket championships.
A squad of 12 was selected after the carnival at Barooga, which involved 14 teams, including the St George and shire quartet.
The team will travel to Bunbury, Western Australia for the School Sport Australia championships to be played from December 12 to 19.
All-rounders Kobey and Lachlan play their junior club cricket for Engadine Dragons.
Wicket-keeper batsman Ashton plays for Penshurst West, while left-arm quick Josh plays for the Cronulla Seagulls.
The boys have added their names to a long list to have represented NSW PSSA.
The list includes a number of international and first class players as well as NSW Country representatives and Sydney first grade players.
Former Australia captains Steve Smith (Alfords Point PS), Steve Waugh (Panania PS) and Michael Clarke (Marsden Road PS) all played for NSW PSSA.
As did NSW and Australia stars Brett Lee (Balarang PS), Josh Hazlewood (Bendemeer PS), Mark Waugh (Panania PS), Ellyse Perry (Beecroft PS), Alyssa Healy (MLC Sydney), Phil Hughes (St Patrick’s Macksville) and Ben Dwarshuis (Engadine West PS).
