Graham Boyd has left his role as chief executive officer of Woronora Memorial Park after nine years.
Jason Masters has been appointed as the Interim chief executive officer of Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries NSW, which incorporates Eastern Suburbs and Woronora Memorial Parks.
Mr Masters has been the Administrator of Rookwood General Cemetery for the past two-and-a-half years.
Mr Masters is an experienced company director in the public and private sectors, probity advisor, auditor and management consultant with high level understanding of Crown lands.
He has been a non-executive director for Uniting Financial Services since 2014 which provides financial services to the Boards and entities of the Uniting Church Australia Synod in NSW & the ACT.
Mr Boyd left his role on Monday. No reasons for his departure were given by Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries NSW.
“Mr Boyd’s legacy of active community engagement will continue as a key focus under Jason Masters, who will also ensure the day-to-day operations of the cemeteries continue to provide the highest level of service to those in need,” a Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries spokesperson said.
During his time as chief executive officer at Woronora Memorial Park, Mr Boyd introduced many new features and events to the cemetery including Carols by Candlelight, the Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day Service and World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims.
Last week, Mr Boyd hosted the official opening ceremony of Woronora Memorial Parks new $5 million crematorium.
