Old Rockdale Ambulance Station advertised for lease

The former Rockdale Ambulance Station is up for lease.

W Herrmann Real Estate  is handling the lease of the 390 square-metre building at 575 Princes Highway, Rockdale.

It is described as “ideally sitting in a prominent corner position, this highly exposed freehold offers the whole ground floor space.”

The agent said the building is suitable for various usage, subject to council approval.

Features of the property include a shop area of approximately 390 square-metres, an open plan area, partitioned office areas, multiple toilet facilities, kitchenette amenities.

It is serviced with electric roller door at the front and side and has ample street parking.

There has been strong interest recently in the local commercial real estate market.

Last September, the NAB building at Rockdale and Westpac Kogarah sold at auction for a combined $9 million.

The NAB in Rockdale sold for $5.5 million on a 4.33 per cent yield and the Westpac bank site in Kogarah sold for $3.5 million on a 4.58 per cent yield.

The properties were marketed by Burgess Rawson Commercial Real Estate.

Burgess Rawson director and selling agent, Simon Staddon, said the highly desirable properties  received record-high interest from investors ahead of auction day.
