Researchers have the chance to secure funds to further their scientific work, with project grants open for submission.
Those based at St George Hospital and Sutherland hospitals who work in scientific, medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health, can apply.
There is a maximum of $200,000 available for the 2019 grant. Four to six grants of between $20,000 - $50,000 will be rewarded for a 12-month period.
St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation's chief executive Jacquie Stratford says the foundation is delighted to offer the competitive medcial research grants for 2019.
"One of the foundation's main aims is to foster next generation researchers," she said.
"We hope to see a wide range of applications from various disciplines and both hospitals for this year’s grant round.
"I would like to also thank all our supporters including individuals, businesses, event sponsors and the medical teams who gave so generously in 2018.”
Closing date for submissions is 5pm, March 18, and should be submitted electronically in a single PDF document to ceo@ssmrf.com.au
