"When will the road works on Princes Highway at Kirrawee be finished?" he said.
When asked by the Leader, Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) did not give a target date, but said "work will continue to progress through 2019, weather permitting".
"Up to 70,000 vehicles use the Princes Highway each day so it is important this work is carried out," a spokeswoman said.
"Once complete, motorists will enjoy improved traffic flow, travel times and safety, particularly during peak periods."
Mr Dominelli said the project was having a major impact on the Dominelli Ford dealership.
"After we spent $40,000 on constructing a slipway entrance, RMS decided they were going to widen the road.," he said.
"We had the whole front looking very attractive, but now customers are confronted by a construction site.
"In six months, hardly any work has been done and there is no sign of it ending."
The RMS spokeswoman said the first stage of the project was almost completed.
"The first stage of work includes moving and installing a complex range of utilities to accommodate new water mains between Acacia Road and Bath Road," she said.
"Work is now being carried out to remove the existing median on the Princes Highway as well as install new medians and turning lanes."
The spokeswoman said improvements at the intersection of President Avenue were completed in late 2018, with work at the Kingsway intersection expected to be completed mid this year, weather permitting.
"In the coming months, work will also start to build retaining walls on the service road along Princes Highway," she said.
"Work will also continue on improvements at the intersections with Acacia Road and Oak Road.
"Roads and Maritime Services is continuing to work closely with the community and stakeholders, and will keep them informed as work progresses."
