Eligible organisations in the St George area can now take advantage of the opportunity to apply for the latest round of the Investing in Women Funding Program.
Organisations can apply for a share of $400,000 to assist projects that improve women's financial wellbeing and employment, promote women's health or support women's engagement in the community.
Oatley MP, Mark Coure said that this is a great initiative from the NSW Government.
"As a community it is important we lead the way in advancing the status of women. The Investing in Women Funding Program works to reduce gender inequality so that women have real opportunity and choice," Mr Coure said.
"Since 2013, the NSW Government has provided over $1.4 million under the program to enhance women's economic opportunities and leadership across the state.
"I encourage organisations in the St George area to apply for funding for projects that will have a positive impact on the lives of local women and girls."
2 Connect Youth and Community based in Brighton-Le-Sands received $22,000 of funding in the 2018 round of the Program to assist with a mentor initiative that empowers young women to become leaders and start their own businesses.
Applications for the Program are now open and close on Sunday, May 26.
