A Sylvania boating enthusiast has won a national apprentice award for the second time running.
Natasha Harper won Apprentice of the Year on June 12 on the Gold Coast, in the Specialised Textiles Association Awards for Excellence, which showcase the most prized and challenging industry projects showcasing innovation, technical skills and design.
The awards highlight the achievements of future tradespeople and encourage continued excellence in the industry.
Ms Harper is currently studying a Certificate III in Automotive and Marine Trimming Technology at TAFE NSW Ultimo.
She is also undertaking her training at Covergirl Marine Trimming, a business that designs, manufactures and installs boat covers in Port Hacking and St George.
"It's an awesome feeling to have received this award for the second time," she said.
"We had to create a project as part of our nomination and without having the skills I've learnt from my TAFE NSW teacher and the team at Covergirl Marine Trimming I wouldn't have been able to produce my winning project."
