His morning perhaps wasn't off to the most relaxing of days but the end results was pretty worth it.
Wolli Creek's Ronny Li got the best Father's Day gift he could ask for - a new baby - one of six born at St George Hospital on Sunday.
The excited father and his wife Qing (Sonny) Du welcomed the newborn bundle of joy into the world in the afternoon, at 1.45pm.
Tory, named just this morning, was five days early. He was due September 6 but he had other plans.
"My wife was having contractions in the morning, and they almost sent us home, but we wanted to stay because we knew we would have another fast delivery after our first born," Mr Li said.
Lucky they did. Within a couple of hours, Tory was born.
"He has lots of hair, just like his brother Tony, who is three," Mr Li said.
"Tony was talking to his little brother when he was in his mum's tummy. We thought it was a girl because my wife had a very different pregnancy.
"I'm so happy. It was the best Father's Day present ever."
