This Engadine garden has been voted one of Australia's best by the experts.
The work of Taren Point company Impressions Landscape - Design, the garden was awarded two Gold and a highly prestigious Best in category at the AILDM National Landscape Design Awards held in Melbourne last Saturday night.
The awards showcase the work of Australia's best landscape gardeners.
Impressions Landscape - Design won a Gold Medal in the Residential Landscape Design Category, a Gold in Plantscape Design category, and a Best in Category for Residential Landscape Design.
This is the sixth time the company have entered and won awards at the National Landscape Design awards
"Every year we have submitted we have won which is an amazing achievement," Impressions Landscape Design creative director Adam McDonald said.
"This is extremely exciting because it was a local garden that won the best in category award nationally.
"We took care of everything outside the house," Adam said. "This included textured planting, landscaping, decking, upgrading the pool surrounds, and even the colour scheme for painting the house.
"At the front we had layered plants with flowering ornamental perennial styles which are not usually seen in Sydney. It was a mixed planting scheme. We used architectural plants like agaves which are quite textured and strong.
"All up it was a six-month job.
"It's great that our awards have been for local gardens that have received national recognition."
The AILDM National Landscape Design Awards recognise and showcase the best landscape designers and projects from around Australia.
