There was plenty of home ground success as the Illawarra Suburbs Lawn Tennis Association hosted the Hardcourt Tennis Association Sydney Tennis League Interdistrict finals on Sunday.
A large contingent of players made their way to Rockdale from as far away as the Entrance to the north and Kiama to the south.
All matches were completed in fine weather, with the Illawarra Suburbs Lawn Tennis Association privileged to host the finals of the premier Sydney metropolitan competition played among the district tennis associations.
Thirteen cups were contested in age groups from 10-years-old to veterans.
Illawarra players made the most of their local knowledge, with the association winning division three of the open age Blackwell Cup, the 14-years Esca Stephens Cup and division five of the 12-years AJ McAndrew Cup.
