A man and woman have been charged with multiple break and enter and stealing offences after a Gymea house was searched.
Police allege an ornamental sword, power tools and hand tools were among items found in the Talara Road house.
"About 3.30am on Friday, September 27, police were called to an underground car park on Warburton Street, Gymea, following reports of a break, enter and steal," a police spokesman said.
"Officers from Sutherland Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.
"Following inquiries, officers attached to the Proactive Crime Team, with assistance from ODIN, executed a search warrant at a house on Talara Road, Gymea just after 2pm yesterday (Tuesday).
"A 33-year-old man and 37-year-old woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Sutherland Police Station.
"During the search, police located and seized items believed to be stolen including an ornamental sword, power tools and hand tools.
"The man was charged with break, enter and steal, two counts of enter vehicle or boat without consent of owner, larceny and aggravated break and enter.
"The woman was charged with two counts of goods suspected stolen and aggravated break and enter.
"The pair were refused bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court today (Wednesday).
