Wind gusts delay some flights at airport
Gusty winds are affecting some flights at Sydney Airport on Thursday.
Some flights have been cancelled while others face delays of up to two hours due to the change in weather conditions.
Air traffic controllers closed two runways from 2pm, leaving only one open.
Travellers are urged to check their flight status before heading to the airport.
A strong wind warning was also issued by Marine Rescue Botany Port Hacking.
The warning is currently active for Botany and Port Hacking and Sydney Closed Waters with westerly wind gusts currently reaching more than 48 km/hr.
Winds are expected to decrease to 20-30 km/hr by the evening.
