The Sutherland Shire Football Association president received a Football NSW State Award for his service and commitment to the beautiful game in the shire.
The annual Football NSW State Dinner was held at Rydges Norwest Sydney on Saturday night, with 15 state awards presented alongside the prestigious George Churchward Medal.
Brady has been involved in shire football for 20 years, initially with the Bonnet Bay Football Club where he is now a life member, serving as vice-president and president for a combined four years.
He then became a qualified referee after recognising a need for more match officials, a role he continues in today.
Brady held an SSFA judiciary committee position for the 2008 and 2009 seasons before joining the association's executive committee. He served on the committee for the 2010 and 2011 seasons and again in 2014 before completing a two-year stint as vice-president. Brady became association president in 2017.
Between 2012 and 2014, Brady took over running the Sutherland Titans Football Club, the highly regarded inaugural football club for players with special needs.
Jacky Finlay-Jones from St George Football Association also received a Football NSW State Award alongside Brady and 13 other recipients from various associations.
Canterbury's Vince Laws was awarded the George Churchward Medal for his 79 years of involvement in football.
