Helping hand: The proceeds of a recent golf day will help 130 needy families.
Highfield Caringbah recently held a golf day, raising $20,000 for Sutherland Shire based Dandelion Support Network, which supports vulnerable families in the community.
Dandelion Support Network's operations and volunteer manager Sarah Mross says the money will allow the organisation to support more than 130 families by providing them with essential items for their babies and children, including cots, prams, car seats, clothes, toys and linen.
The largely volunteer-run charity relies on donations and has helped more than 8000 families in the past eight years.
