The awards ceremony took place in Brisbane, with all the state winners vying for prestigious national awards in a range of categories.
"Sealevel has never won the national award before, nor any other local restaurant, to our knowledge," said Marc Allouche, a member of the well-known Cronulla restaurant family.
"In the 22 years since we established Sealevel, we have always strived to continue to do better.
"We dedicate the award to our hard working and loyal staff and cannot thank our customers enough for their ongoing support."
Restaurant and Catering Australia said the Savour Awards for Excellence were "a nationally recognised, independently judged program that recognises exceptional service and culinary talent across Australia".
They were "designed to recognise and promote industry best practice".
The criteria include more than 50 aspects of business, starting with phone reservation to comfort, appearance, decor, atmosphere, drinks and meal service, variety, quality, promptness and presentation and taste.
Sealevel was opened by Claude and David Allouche in 1997 and has continued to be run by their sons, Nathan, Marc, Blake and Adam.
The family expanded the business by opening cafe-restaurant Next Door Cronulla in 2016 and Next Door Catering earlier this year.
