Toyota Australia is backing the educational needs of Sutherland Shire students by continuing its education scholarships and grant program for a third year.
The program will stretch to 20 students attending 14 schools in 2020 while five shire schools will also receive funding to support priority technology and literacy projects.
Toyota Australia president and chief executive Matthew Callachor said Toyota Australia has partnered with Schools Plus to provide the scholarships and grants, which aim to break down barriers to further education in Sydney's south.
"I'm honoured that Toyota can help nurture the educational aspirations of these students," Mr Callachor said.
"We trust that our support over several years will play a role in helping young Australians achieve their full potential."
The 20 students awarded scholarships in 2020 are exploring careers in diverse areas including medicine, creative arts, veterinary science and photography.
Endeavour Sports High School, Dunlea Centre, Bates Drive School, Cook School and Minerva School will receive the schools grants.
Toyota has enjoyed a close relationship with the Sutherland Shire community since the 1960s and the company pledged to leave a lasting legacy after the sales and marketing division moved out in 2017.
