Re the article "Hoyts takes over: Doomed Cronulla cinema complex saved" (Leader, November 27).
What a refreshing change to hear that an older development (in this case the Cronulla Cinemas) will be redeveloped and upgraded into a more modern cinema. Go Hoyts!

Thank God! Good riddance Event Cinemas! Bad programming and terrible seats for the past 20 years. And who on earth still has cast iron arm rests? Please play Sharks away games there as mentioned in the article.

Great news! It's wonderful to keep older beautiful buildings that are still standing after all these years!

Still have the issue of finding a parking space in a 4 hour area. Movies never get out under two hours with ads. If only there was better parking ... maybe change a couple of the upper two hours to three hours in the multi-storey. Not everyone lives close to a train station to get the train there and back! The good thing about Miranda cinemas is the ability to park there, for free, for the movie duration. Hope it does succeed, I would hate to see it go.

Thanks Hoyts for keeping the Cinema experience alive in Cronulla!

Now if all the people blowing up about it closing previously went to the movies at Cronulla it'll be around for a long time.
