An application for 3am closing for the Highfield Caringbah hotel has been followed by a similar request for The Prince at Kirrawee.
The Feros Group owns both hotels. which at present close at midnight from Monday to Saturday and 10pm on Sunday.
An application to extend trading hours at the Highfield was lodged with Sutherland Shire Council in December.
The second application, for The Prince, was made this week.
In both cases, the proposed 3am closing time would apply from Monday to Saturday.
The application for the Kirrawee hotel said, after midnight, capacity would be reduced from the allowable maximum of 1040 patrons to 600.
The extended hours would apply to the outdoor dining area, indoor lounge bar, bistro and kitchen, and gaming lounge.
The application proposed installing acoustic screening on the western perimeter of the outdoor dining area and infilling existing air gaps around the framing of the operable outdoor roof.
Pre-closure procedures would commence 30 minutes before 3am to encourage a steady flow of exiting patrons and their management in the rear car park;
A courtesy bus would also be provided.
The application said there would be "strategic deployment of security and management measures for management of patrons in the car park after midnight and particularly at close".
Use of the operable roof on the outdoor dining area would be restricted, and there would be a reduction of music levels within the hotel between 12am and 3am by up to 5dB.
