Brisbane coach Andrej Lemanis believes his Bullets can rise from the depths and claim this year's NBL title - as long as they make the finals.
Wallowing in second-last spot on the ladder only three weeks ago, the Bullets (13-11) are now fourth and on a roll.
A 108-99 road triumph over the Adelaide 36ers on Saturday was the Bullets' fifth straight victory, moving them two wins clear of fifth-placed Melbourne United.
In their fourth season back in the league Brisbane, who were swept by eventual champion Perth in last year's semi-finals, are confident they can go all the way.
"If we get in the playoffs, I feel confident we can win it, there's no doubt about that," Lemanis said.
"But we're not getting too far ahead of ourselves - we're not in. We've got a lot of work to do.
"Four games left, three of them at home, and everybody that we're playing is in the same dogfight we're in.
"If you make the playoffs it goes back to 0-0 ... everybody in there has a chance."
Meanwhile, the seventh-placed Sixers (11-13) need to ignite a Brisbane-like form surge of their own while relying on mid-table rivals losing their way now they no longer control their destiny.
"Not the ideal situation at all," coach Joey Wright admitted.
"If we won this one, we control our own destiny. Now we have to rely on some things to go the other way. It's going to be tough."
