Eight thousand homes and business are still waiting for their power to be restored after last weekend's storms battered Sydney and the NSW Central Coast.
Ausgrid says up to 1000 contractors - assisted by the SES and interstate energy providers - have been working each day to reconnect customers, with more than 132,000 premises reconnected since Sunday.
The power company says almost 94 per cent of affected Ausgrid customers have had their power restored.
West Pymble mother Anna So-Young Na has been showering her two young children at the local gym and eating out for most meals, given everything in her fridge has spoiled.
Nearby, Hae Dong Choi has been keeping his three daughters' phones charged with his car or with portable batteries his friends have kindly powered up.
"I can't make food," the father and private tutor told AAP.
"I have spent a lot of money and it's very inconvenient to have cold showers.".
