More than $200,000 worth of funding is available in round two of Georges River Council's 2019/20 Community Grants Program.
Community organisations are encouraged to apply for a grant before the closing date of Monday, March 9.
The Community Grants Program enables Council to partner with the community tooffer support for programs, activities and events that help to solve local issues, encourage community participation and social connections, and meet community needs.
The grant round provides opportunity for funding in three categories, including the new Micro Grants Program, which offers financial support of up to $1,000 per project for ideas around improving community wellbeing and achieving social change.
Capacity Building Grants of up to $10,000 are available for not-for-profit organisations to run programs or purchase assets and equipment to meet community needs.
The Connected Communities category presents grants of up to $25,000 for major community-run programs and projects which result in more connected communities, promote social connectedness and reduce isolation.
