Patterson returned from a three-month absence with a quadriceps injury for NSW in their Sheffield Shield loss to Victoria at the Sydney Cricket Ground last week.
James Pattinson, Marcus Stoinis and Will Pucovski were all ruled out of the squad after originally being named.
