Rockdale City and Sutherland will enter the new NPL 1 season with high hopes of turning around disappointing 2019 campaigns under new leadership.
The Suns start their push to return to finals football when they host Manly United at the Ilinden Sports Centre on Sunday, March 1.
It is a new-look Rockdale squad, with the club looking to rebuild after the embarrassment of missing the NPL 1 finals amid their 50th-year celebrations last season as they finished 10th.
Steven Zoric will make his senior coaching debut for the Suns, having stepped up from coaching the club's under-18s and 20s squads.
Zoric has added to his squad with Japanese imports Tomoki Wada and Banri Kanaizumi joining the club while James Baldacchino has arrived from Marconi.
Former Young Socceroos goalkeeper Tomislav Arcaba has also re-joined the club following stints in Serbia and in the A-League with the Newcastle Jets.
Striker Amaury Gauthier, youngster Mark Moric (Hakoah Sydney City East), Hassan Jalloh (Bonnyrigg) and Sam Guilsano (APIA Leichhardt) have also arrived.
Meanwhile, Sutherland face a tough first up trip to Marconi to take on the Stallions next Sunday night.
New coach Nick Dimovski has earned his promotion to the top job having led Sutherland to three under-20s championships and one premiership.
Sharks junior and former Sydney FC, Wellington and Central Coast striker Blake Powell has returned to the club, while Peter Simonoski (Sydney United 58) and former Rockdale striker Jonathan Grozdanovski have also arrived.
Goalkeeper Ryan Norval has also returned to the Sharks from Hakoah.
