Cook Park, Kyeemagh will once again provide the backdrop for Sculptures @ Bayside when the popular Bayside Arts Festival opens next month.
Planning for the Bayside Arts Festival is well underway and a number of the artists attended a site visit on Monday, March 2 to plan where their sculptures will be installed.
The new sculptures will be installed in Cook Park on Thursday, April 2 in time for the official opening of the Bayside Arts Festival on Saturday, April 4.
The free outdoor sculpture exhibition runs for the duration of the Bayside Arts Festival and the artists will be in the running for a $50,000 acquisition prize.
Previous winners include the Crab and the hippo which are both now on permanent display at Cook Park, Kyeemagh.
A Hand-Made Market, with 40 stalls offering hand made products will also form part of the Bayside Arts Festival official opening on April 4.
The Bayside Arts Festival consists of up to 30 free events that will be held over the month long festival showcasing the creative talent of the wider Bayside community.
