A total of $53,988 has been awarded to 18 worthy projects in the first round of Bayside Council's 2019/20 Community Grants Program.
The Community Grant recipients attended the Bayside Council meeting last night with Mayor Joe Awada thanking them for their contribution to the Bayside community.
"These organisations provide a service to the community that Council could not possibly provide," Councillor Awada said.
"They are all making a real and lasting difference to the lives of our residents."
Bayside Council's Community Grant Program is a unique program that allows Council, local not-for-profit community organisations, individuals and clubs to work together to improve the provision of community, cultural, artistic, recreational and leisure services for the residents of Bayside.
Applications for round two closed on Friday, March 6.
