Bayside Council has announced a number of changes to its operations as well as cancellation of events in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
But the council has created a COVID-19 community directory to provide links to important information and services, from reliable, trusted sources.at https://haveyoursay.bayside.nsw.gov.au/covid-19-connecting-community
The council's Customer Service Centres operating hours have changed.
The Customer Service Centre at Rockdale Library (444-446 Princes Highway, Rockdale) will be open Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm. The counter will be closed at weekends.
The council's Customer Service Centre at Westfield Eastgardens (152 Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens) is closed until further notice.
Alternatively, residents can lodge a request online at https://online.bayside.nsw.gov.au/ from any type of device.
To speak with a Customer Service Officer, call 1300 581 299 or 9562 1666, operating hours will be as normal Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm. All other times will switch to our after hours service.
All libraries are closed until further notice including all library programs and activities.
The library loan period has been increased to nine weeks and all late fees have been suspended.
But the council will increase the promotion of its online library resources and services and continue its Home Library Service with members open to vulnerable groups defined by the Federal Government to mitigate social disconnectivity.
Bayside Council has also cancelled its Seniors Garden Party, Harmony Day events and public Anzac Day commemoration services.
All Bayside Bayside Arts Festival events - cancelled, with the exception of CamerART which will move to an online exhibition and voting format.
The Citizenship Ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 has been cancelled and the council is waiting on advice from the Department of Home Affairs on holding future ceremonies.

Council meetings with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community have been postponed until further notice, Ramadan at Bayside has been cancelled and Bushcare Groups cancelled until further notice.
The Child Restraint Check Day service scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 has been cancelled
For events scheduled for June, July and August, Bayside Council will continue to monitor the situation before making a decision.
The Angelo Anestis Aquatic Centre has closed until further notice. The Botany Aquatic Centre as well as Mutch Park Squash Centre have also closed until further notice.
Bayside Council's Waste Services are all operating as normal.
