A further six cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Sutherland Shire, taking the number to 41.
Updated figures from NSW Health show confirmed cases in the Bayside council area rose in a 24-hour period by one to 17, with three more cases in Georges River, taking the total to 13.
The shire continues to have the seventh highest number of cases in the state, but also has one of the largest populations - more than 218,000 residents.
Waverley council area, which includes Bondi remains at the top of the list, with numbers rising by 11 to 116.
