It's almost a case of "Australia, get set, go adventure". But steady as she goes, we're not quite there yet.
Discussions about border restrictions across the nation are ongoing - a little testy sometimes - but ongoing nonetheless as we emerge from the shutdowns imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Here's a breakdown of what's happening state-by-state, but suffice to say the message revolves around"plan an Aussie adventure" is stronger than ever.
Leading travel websites are reporting an increased number of Australians are already thinking about their post-COVID-19 getaways. But so, too, are our regions.
The NSW South Coast, hammered by the summer's bushfires, is keen to welcome you - gently.
Eurobodalla Shire Council, which covers holiday spots from north of Batemans Bay to south of Narooma, said it would be encouraging visitors to return gradually.
"It's also important we support local businesses and start to rebuild our economy. We'll be easing back into our promotions and the visiting friends and relatives campaign is a good place to start," the shire's tourism manager Tim Booth said.
On the other side of the country, there's the new series Passport to the Peel which could help you out if you head to WA, while in outback Queensland they're just waiting to see tourists again. They just might have to be even more patient.
Whenever it happens, the time to check out our wide brown land - if you can - might just well have arrived.
