Miranda and Hurstville cinemas and children's play centres back for school holidays

Event Cinemas at Miranda and Hurstville and several children's indoor play centres will reopen this week in time for the school holidays.

Limits on numbers and other coronavirus safety measures will be in place.

The cinema complexes will reopen on Thursday July 2 and online bookings are already open.

Once a booking is made, adjoining seats are blocked out in accordance with the one person per four square metre rule.

GU Film House at Beverly Hills won't reopen until the end of July.

Event Cinemas says a survey of more than 20,000 active movie-goers found that once venues reopened, 94 per cent of respondents intended to visit just as frequently, if not more often, than they did previously.

The Play Cave at Taren Point led the way in the reopening of general children's indoor play centres.

The centre reopened on Monday June 22 and operates from 9.30am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday and on weekends as advised on social media.

Play centres that will reopen on Wednesday July 1 include Lollipops Playland and Cafe at Club Central Menai, Funtime 4 Kidz at Menai and Little Feet Cafe at Engadine.

Funhouse Adventure Play and Party Centre at Mortdale and Shrimps Play and Party Centre at Bexley have not yet announced reopening dates.

Flip Out trampoline centre at Caringbah reopened on June 13.

Underworld Laser at Club Central Menai remains closed.
