A man will face court today charged with mid-range drink-driving after crashing his car through a metal safety fence and into a storm-water drain at Riverwood last night.
About 11.30pm yesterday, officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command attended the intersection of Wiggs Road and Victoria Road following reports that a Subaru Impreza had crashed and ended up in a storm-water drain.
The driver - a 40-year-old man - was located nearby and was breath tested, returning a positive result.
The uninjured man was arrested and taken to Campsie Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.081.
The man was charged with drive with mid-range PCA and his licence was suspended.
He was issued a court attendance notice to appear at Burwood Local Court on Tuesday, July 21.
