Vic Lake Architects have been awarded first place in the Asia Pacific International Property Awards for Multiple Residential in Australia for the Bombora Apartments in Cronulla.
The International Property Awards are open to residential and commercial property professionals from around the world.
The Bombora development in Marlo Road was designed in response to the unique aspects of the Bate Bay environment.
The unusual design is based on two oval shapes around a central lobby. The curvilinear design gives sweeping views to all the apartments.
Mr Lake also designed the award-winning Woronora Memorial Park Chapel and Condolence Centre, and was winner of the Cronulla Ideas Competition in 2014.
His other local projects include the Audrey and Acqua apartment blocks.
Mr Lake said the Bombora project was a real credit to Geoff Mailey, the developer and builder, and his construction team.
