IKEA Tempe is among venues on the latest coronavirus alert list.
NSW Health said anyone who visited the store on Wednesday October 7 between 1.30pm and 5.30pm was considered a casual contact and must monitor for symptoms and get tested immediately if they develop.
After testing, they must remain in isolation until a negative test result is received.
Other venues - all of which are in south-western Sydney - include a Woolworths supermarket at Oran Park, McDonald's restaurant and Aldi store at Leppington, Fantastic Furniture at Campbelltown, Bunnings at Gregory Hills and Prasadi Nepali Emerald Hills
NSW Health said testing numbers had dropped recently, which was concerning, and people should come forward immediately if they had the mildest of symptoms such as a runny nose or scratchy throat, cough, fever or other symptoms that could be COVID-19.
