Victorians are warned about falling trees, with damaging winds up to 100km/h forecast.
Severe winds are expected to hit much of Victoria on Friday night, with people being urged to be vigilant around trees this weekend.
The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting damaging winds with peak gusts up to 100km/h and average 50-60km/h across Melbourne and elevated areas in eastern and central Victoria.
The State Emergency Service said Melbourne, Geelong, Seymour, Ballarat, Wonthaggi and Bacchus Marsh residents should prepare for the risk of falling trees on pedestrians, houses and cars following recent storms and wet soil.
The warning follows the death of three Victorians who were killed by falling trees in strong winds on August 27.
