Attorney-General and Cronulla MP Mark Speakman has expressed "absolute" support for Premier Gladys Berejiklian as disgraced former MP Daryl Maguire fronts the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
ICAC is investigating whether Mr Maguire misused his public office in the pursuit of his own financial interests.
Ms Berejiklian admitted to the commission on Monday she had "a close personal relationship" with Mr Maguire, which continued after she sacked him in 2018.
Mr Speakman, one of the most senior ministers in the cabinet and the state's first law officer, told the Leader in a statement, "I absolutely support Gladys Berejiklian".
"The Premier has done an outstanding job guiding NSW through the worst drought on record, the worst bushfire season on record and now a once-in-a-century pandemic.
"Our government is focussed on serving the people of NSW and ensuring we keep our community safe, healthy and in jobs as we continue to navigate the current health crisis."
Heathcote MP Lee Evans said, "The Premier has my full confidence - in Gladys we trust".
Miranda MP Eleni Petinos said, "Gladys Berejiklian is an incredibly hard-working premier and has my full support."
Upper House MP and Labor spokesman for the Heathcote and Oatley electorates, Mark Buttigieg, said Ms Berejiklian must resign having "absolutely failed any standard of ministerial accountability".
"This is a premier who holds herself up as 'holier than thou', the shining light of administrative probity," he said.
"And yet, at ICAC, we find out beyond doubt that she absolutely knew that one of her colleagues was up to no good and engaging in dubious and corrupt behavior and she failed to act on it, failed to report it.
"This has nothing to do with the fact she is in a relationship with him - it's all about knowing about corrupt activity and illegal behaviour and not carrying out her ministerial responsibilities."
