Some of the biggest names in rock from the '80s and '90s will perform at a concert at Wanda early next year.
Icehouse, James Reyne, Pete Murray, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Motor Ace are the line-up for By The C 2021 in Don Lucas Reserve on March 6.
Concerts at Conulla and St Kilda in Melbourne are described as "a celebration of live music, food and community on world-famous beachside locations".
Tickets went on sale on Monday.
Sutherland Shire Council approved the concert, which is to be held under COVID-Safe rules.
A spokeswoman said the council was "approached for permission to conduct a concert at Don Lucas Reserve in March 2021".
"Council intends to provide approval for this event to go ahead on the proviso that Public Health Order directives allow. Public Health orders will be monitored to ensure the safety of our community," she said.
"Council is committed to supporting economic and social recovery during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. This live concert provides an exciting opportunity to attend an event of grand scale in the Sutherland Shire, while contributing towards economic benefits for local businesses and cultural life."
Icehouse's new live album was released on October 30.
ICEHOUSE Plays Flowers is a special recording celebrating 40 years since the band's debut album, Icehouse, was released.
This recorded event also celebrates the 40th anniversary of the St. Kilda Festival.
Planned tours by all of the top performers have been severely disrupted this year.
