Tim Bonython's annual Surf Movie Festival which is now in its 14th year is coming to the new Hoyts Cinema complex at Cronulla and in the four years since his last epic "Big Wave Project' mother nature has delivered some amazing swells.
The films show the most significant swell events Tim has documented over that time. You will be transported to Nazare Portugal where the biggest wave surfed was recorded, to Mullaghmore Ireland, a crazy big left-hand wave in freezing conditions, The Right in Western Australia to see some of the most amazing waves ever surfed there, Teahupoo Tahiti, as perfect as it can be and one of the most historic swells he has ever documented at Cloudbreak Fiji.
Our own Cape Solander is also one of Tim's favourites and this new festival features five jaw-dropping films that takes you to unique places capturing the world's best big wave surfers battling the biggest waves on the planet. Screening will take place Wednesday, December 02- 6.30pm - 8.30pm.
