Bookworms of all ages are invited to visit the Georges River Libraries' annual book sale this November.
The book sale will take place at Hurstville Library from Friday, November 27 to Saturday, November 28.
Georges River Council mayor Kevin Greene encouraged locals to get in quickly to grab their favourites.
"The library book sale, the first held by our libraries in four years, is a great way to extend the use of these items by giving them a second life in people's homes," Cr Greene said.
"The sale will include thousands of items in all genres, to be listed from between 20 cents and $2, so it's a wonderful opportunity for the community to grab a bargain or snap up something special from the eclectic mix on sale.
"I urge the community to come along, find a bargain and help the library make space for more great books."
The sale is the first to be held by the library in four years and includes hundreds of children's books, graphic novels, adult fiction and non-fiction, magazines, CDs and DVDs.
The sale will also include books for those that speak Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Italian and Spanish languages, as well as helpful books for learning English.
Mandatory registration and appropriate physical distancing will be followed as a part of the Covid-19 Safety Plan for NSW libraries.
Hand sanitiser will be available for use.
All sales will be via card payments and no cash payments will be accepted on the day.
Georges River Libraries annual book sale will take place this Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 4pm at Hurstville Library on the corner of Queens Road and Dora Street, Hurstville.
