Families living in the The Ridgway estate at Barden Ridge will now have a new place to play.
The Dahua Group recently completed construction of a $600,000 playground and will spend another $300,000 to create additional outdoor amenities.
The new park, designed by Place Design Group includes scenic views, a barbecue area and play equipment.
Long term Sutherland Shire resident Phillipa Hermann recently purchased her new home in The Ridgeway.
She said the new playground was a great addition to the community.
"Most weeks I venture down to the new playground with my grandchildren," Ms Hermann said.
"They enjoy playing on the equipment and kicking a football in the open spaces.
"I love the bush surroundings, local amenities and proximity to the beaches, Royal National park, city and Sydney airport. Most importantly, my family - children and grandchildren are close by."
This month Undercover Group will also start work on a new outdoor kitchen and community garden.

Dahua Group development manager Paddy O'Donoghue said they were pleased that Sutherland Shire Council has approved the outdoor kitchen and community garden.
"Providing both passive and active recreational facilities for residents to enjoy is an integral part of our estate to create a cohesive and socially connected community," he said.
"Australians love the outdoors. The new outdoor facilities will also integrate with the bushland environment overlooking the escarpment above Woronora River."
Place Design Group design principal Nick Ison said the playground had something for everyone.
"The nature-based play space provides high quality play experiences for younger children including swinging, sliding, balancing and rocking," he said.
"Natural timber logs, stone boulders and planting areas provide a play experience that will provide risk and challenge opportunities, all set amongst existing mature trees.
"Current and future landscaped spaces at The Ridgeway provide the community with places to gather and socialise to strengthen community life and social cohesion in the area."
