Bayside Council provides a total of $100,000 in funding to help support local community projects through its annual Community Grants Program that opens in February.
Local not-for-profit community organisations, groups and clubs are invited to apply for:
- Small Grants (up to $2,000) for the purchase of equipment, special activities or information resources;
- Seeding Grants (up to $5,000) to establish innovative programs that foster initiatives to address the social, cultural, creative, artistic and leisure needs of the community.
Last financial year Bayside supported 35 community organisations over two rounds of funding for projects that included a collaborative community art project, workshops for women and girls to learn home repair skills, swimming lessons for school children with disabilities and a music program for the hearing impaired.
Council is only accepting online applications and more information on the funding process and how to apply can be found on Council's website.
Applications for these community grants open on Monday 1 February and close Friday 26 February.
