The accident, which was captured on the store's CCTV camera, happened about 10am.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said emergency services were called to the corner of Wentworth Street and Port Hacking Road, Caringbah South, just after 10am, following reports a car had crashed into the front of a bakery.
"The driver, believed to be aged in his 80s, was assessed by paramedics at the scene as a precaution," the spokeswoman said.
"No customers were in the shop at the time and there were no reports of any injuries.
"The crash caused no major structural damage."
The popular bakery and cafe is located in a small group of shops on the corner of Port Hacking Road and Wentworth Street, Caringbah South, with its own busy parking lot.
A video posted on social media this afternoon showed the moment the car crashed through the front windows and took out the main counter.
The cafe is often packed, while a queue of customers is usually found outside.
Luckily, there were no customers at the counter or waiting to be served when the accident happened.
Staff said this afternoon it was a miracle no one was hurt.
A message on the Lilli Pilli Patisserie Cafe Facebook page this afternoon said: "Today there was an accident where a car crashed into the bakery.
"We are so grateful that none of our staff or customers were hurt and we are thankful for all of the bystanders that helped out.
"Unfortunately, we will be closed until further notice for repairs. Please stay posted for updates."
