LATEST COVID-19 DEVELOPMENTS:
* Australia will continue to pursue its aggressive suppression strategy, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has told reporters in the UK, where he is attending the G7 summit as an observer.
* Mr Morrison said he would "rather be living in the arrangements we have in Australia than anywhere else in the world".
* Asked what percentage of Australians will need to be vaccinated before international travel can resume, the PM replied: "We haven't set any mark on that".
* Victorian Health Minister Martin Foley says the country is "nowhere near" ready to discuss opening up and needs to focus on firstly keeping the virus at bay through dedicated risk-based quarantine facilities.
* The state recorded one new case on Sunday - a close contact of a case linked to the Arcare Maidstone outbreak, who has been quarantining throughout their infectious period.
* Some 17,102 Victorians were tested in the 24 hours to Sunday morning, while 14,390 received a vaccine dose at state-run hubs.
* Authorities continue to investigate the single new case reported on Saturday, a man in his 30s from City of Melbourne with a young family. Six new exposure sites have been added.
* Most Australians apparently missed going into work during lockdowns. Some 70 per cent of people surveyed by Mainstreet Insights in April said they found their most meaningful and regular social connections at work - outranking even their homes and community.
* The desire to return to a group workplace is strongest among Gen-Z workers (aged 18 to 26), who also reported most impact on their mental health of coronavirus-related isolation.
* Under loosened restrictions for Melbourne, masks remain mandatory indoors and outdoors and people must stay within 25km of their homes unless working or studying, caregiving or getting a vaccine.
* A ban on home gatherings remains but up to 10 people can meet outdoors, students can return to schools, retail can reopen and hospitality venues can resume seated service.
AUSTRALIAN VACCINATION NUMBERS:
* There have been 5,834,746 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Friday, including 60,822 in the previous 24 hours.
* Of the total, 3,557,361 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of 25,223 in the previous 24 hours).
* 3,156,669 have been issued in primary care (+24,534) and 400,692 in aged and disability facilities (+689).
* 2,277,385 have been administered by the states and territories, including 35,599 in the previous 24 hours.
* 785,623 have been administered in Victoria (+13,488), 585,595 in NSW (+7714), 348,287 in Queensland (+6597), 212,123 in Western Australia (+2851), 152,151 in South Australia (+2769), 85,961 in Tasmania (+997), 63,259 in the ACT (+1183) and 44,386 in the NT (+NA).
AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* Australia reported one new local coronavirus case in Victoria on Sunday.
* There were at least 14 new overseas-acquired cases in hotel quarantine: seven in Queensland, three in both South Australia and the Northern Territory and one in NSW.
* The national death toll is 910: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* Cases: at least 175,576,119
* Deaths: at least 3,791,676
* Vaccine doses administered: at least 2,317,657,074.
