Sharks trio in Rugby Sevens team

All playing in the Club's 2018 premiership winning NSWRL Harvey Norman Under 18's Tarsha Gale Cup side, Madison Ashby, who also won Player of the Year in 2018, Sariah Paki and Faith Nathan will now pull on the green and gold to represent Australia in Tokyo.

All three girls have had a taste of international rugby sevens before having played for Australia on the World Rugby HSBC Sevens Series.

Paki has the most international experience with 44 matches under her belt and scoring five tries.

She became Australia's youngest-ever World Series debutante when she ran on in Dubai in December, 2018.

Ashby has 24 games for Australia, all in the 2019/20 World Series, where she scored four tries.

Nathan is the least internationally experienced of the trio with just 17 matches, also in the 2019/20 World Series, but the try scoring machine has scored seven tries during her short time on the world stage.

Ashby, Paki and Nathan will be looking to help the Australian Women's Rugby Sevens squad repeat as Gold medalists at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, with the team having won the sport's inaugural medal at Rio 2016.

In a devastating end to their 2021 season, the Harvey Norman Women's Premiership Sharks have had their title hopes dashed without a ball being kicked, with the NSWRL cancelling the qualifying finals due to the current COVID lockdown situation in Sydney and surrounds.
