A Sutherland Shire man discovered he had become Australia's newest millionaire while walking his dog when he received a call with the news he won $1 million in last night's Monday Lotto draw.

The winner held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4092, drawn on Monday, taking home $1 million.
When an official from The Lott called the winning man, he was heading home from taking his dog for a walk and completely oblivious he had become an overnight millionaire.
"I have been receiving a lot of nuisance calls lately. I hoped this isn't another one of those," he said.
The winner said he was shell-shocked when his win was confirmed.
"I just sent a photo to my family of the win and they can't believe it either," he said.
"I can imagine the kids are already writing their wish lists."
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the Sydney man admitted he wanted to be sensible with his prize and seek financial advice.
"I need time to really plan what I am going to do," he said.
"I want to get some financial advice first, so I make the right decisions.
"Most of it will be spent on the kids, which I am sure they will be very happy about.
"My wife wants to do some renovations around the house and I would love to go overseas in the future.
"In the meantime, I might go on some fishing trips here in Australia."
The winning System 8 QuickPick entry was purchased online at thelott.com - Australia's official lotteries.
The winning numbers in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4092 on Monday, July 5 were 7, 34, 22, 44, 15 and 19 while the supplementary numbers were 17 and 4.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 4092 - the entry from New South Wales.
The Lott's division one winning tally has now reached 226 so far this calendar year, including 58 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Monday and Wednesday Lotto created 93 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 101 division one winning Monday and Wednesday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won $100 million.
