Residents and staff at Mildred Symons House aged care at Jannali have been tested by NSW Health and returned negative results after a casual staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
NSW Health informed Anglicare on July 31 that an agency nurse who worked at the 122-resident nursing home at Lenna Place, Jannali had tested positive for COVID-19.
"They worked overnight at Mildred Symons on July 27-28," a spokesman for Anglicare said.
"The worker was undergoing surveillance as with the NSW Government mandate and NSW Health informed us of the results last Sunday,
"We immediately commenced our COVID infection outbreak testing process .
"We had everyone at the home, residents and staff, tested by the NSW Health team and they all returned negative results.
"There will be follow-up testing done tomorrow.
"We are very supportive of closing the loopholes for agency staff," the spokesman said.
NSW Health has been approached for comment.
