Georges River Council has opened Kingsgrove Community Centre for use as a COVID-19 testing clinic.
The move is in response to the Georges River Local Government Area being named as an area of concern for COVID.
Run by Medlab Pathology, the walk-in clinic is open daily, 8am to 8pm, at 30 Morgan Street, Kingsgrove.
The facility is wheelchair accessible and does not require GP referral.
Georges River Council mayor Kevin Greene said, "Having the walk-in clinic at Kingsgrove will make testing more convenient and accessible, so I urge our community to get tested if they show any symptoms.
"It is worrying that Georges River is an area of concern, but we are all in this together. Everyone in our community should be on high alert and continue following the NSW Public Health Order.
"Council's priority remains the safety of our community. We are looking at additional facilities to support our fight against COVID-19 and we will share updates as soon as we can."
