Georges River Libraries are shut in accordance with the current NSW Public Health Order, but they are continuing to offer a number of online services for our community.
"The eLibrary collection is always open. Your library card gives you access to our collection of eBooks, audiobooks, comics, digital magazines and newspapers, as well as research databases and the world's best online learning courses," a council spokesperson said.
"We have an exciting range of online programs for learning, entertainment and socialising. Visit our events page for more details and to register.
"Readers and join our online book club, connect with fellow bookworms and discuss the book of the month with our Georges River Libraries Online Book Club. Visit our Facebook group to join today.
"There are also personalised reading recommendations for people stuck for something to read?
"Let our well-read library team help you discover your next favourite book.
" Simply complete this online form and we will put together a personalised reading recommendation for you from our online collection."
If someone has an item on loan or a reservation in the system the following arrangements have been made:
"All library loans have been extended. Please hold onto the items you have borrowed until we reopen our libraries. All current library reservations will be extended. Once our libraries reopen, you will receive a notice and be given 14 days to pick up your item.
"Home Library and Early Learning Centre deliveries paused are temporarily on hold. If you are a member registered for these services, your loans will be automatically extended."
