The number of active COVID-19 cases in the St George area has risen to 190, according to the latest NSW Health figures.
A breakdown of active COVID-19 cases by postcode on the NSW Health website today shows the total number of cases has risen from 133 a week ago to 190 today.
A separate analysis of active COVID-19 cases by local government area paints a more alarming picture, with 215 active cases in the Georges River and Bayside council areas combined.
The total number of active cases in Georges River is 124, of which 14 sources are unknown.
The total number of cases in Bayside is 91, of which 16 sources of infection are unknown.
The largest number of cases is in the 2207 postcode, which takes in Bardwell Park, Bardwell Valley and Bexley, with 36 active cases, up from 19 just one week ago.
Next is the 2210 postcode, which takes in Lugarno, Peakhurst and Peakhurst Heights, where there are 23 active cases, up from 18 last Monday.
The 2209 postcode, which takes in Beverly Hills and Narwee, has 20 active cases (up from 17).
The 2221 postcode, which takes in Blakehurst, Carss Park, Connells Point, also has 20 active cases, up from five a week ago.
Next is the 2223 postcode, which takes in Mortdale and Oatley, with 15 active cases (down from 18).
The 2209 postcode, which takes in Beverly Hills and Narwee, has 20 active cases (up from 17).
Next is the 2220 postcode, which takes in Hurstville and Hurstville Grove, where there are 14 active cases (unchanged).
Others include:
2216 postcode, which takes in Banksia, Brighton-Le-Sands and Kyeemagh, 13 active cases, up from nine.
2218 postcode, which includes Allawah and Carlton, 14 active cases (up from two).
2219 postcode, which takes in Dolls Point, Sandringham and Sans Souci, 11 active cases (up from nine).
2208 postcode, which takes in Kingsgrove, 10 active case (up from two).
2217 postcode, which takes in Beverley Park, Kogarah and Kogarah Bay, seven active cases (up from five).
2222 postcode, which takes in Penshurst, four active cases (down from six).
2205 postcode, which takes in Wolli Creek and Arncliffe, three active cases (down from nine).
