Bayside Council is sponsoring a photographic competition as part of its COVID-Safe Community Events Program for 2021.
"Whether we are out and about or in lockdown, most of us are taking photos, recording special moments or a beautiful landscape every day on our mobile phones," Bayside Council mayor Joe Awada said.
"Pick a favourite photo from the past 12 months or take a new one and enter it in our Aspects of Bayside photographic exhibition," Cr Awada said.
"You can enter as an individual or make it a family or group project.
"There are six categories each with a total prize money of $1,000.
"We have a special COVID-Heroes category. Photograph your special COVID hero and tell us why.
"It can be someone you admire, a front-line worker or it can be someone who was there for you."
Competition categories are: Primary School, High School, Adult Amateur, Open (all ages and experience), COVID-Heroes, and Animal Family.
Photos must be taken in the Bayside Local Government Area. Picture resolution should be at least 1920 by 1080 px.
Entries close Friday, October 29.
