The Caringbah area is the new COVID concern in Sutherland Shire.
NSW Health data shows 166 active cases in the shire up till September 12:
Postcode 2229 (Caringbah area) recorded an extra 13 active cases in a week, taking the total number to 32.
The colour red designates areas with case numbers between 20-49.
The number of active cases in postcode 2232 (Kareela to Loftus and Woronora) rose by eight to 17.
The Menai area, which previously had the highest numbers in the shire, recorded a small decline to 28, with a similar size drop in the Engadine area to 16.

- 2233 (Engadine / Heathcote / Waterfall): 16 (down 3)
- 2234 (Menai area): 28 (down 2)
