The number of active COVID-19 cases in Sutherland Shire stands at 187 today, an increase of more than 20 in the past fortnight.
The Map of NSW COVID-19 case locations on the NSW Health website today, which showed data for September 24, said there were 187 cases, compared with 166 on September 12.
The largest jump in active cases occurred in the 2232 postcode, which includes Grays Point, where there were 29 active cases, up from 20 a week ago.
The 2229 postcode (Caringbah), had 35 active cases, up from 27, while the 2230 postcode, which includes Cronulla, Burraneer and Bundeena, had 22 active cases (down from 28).
The 2234 postcode, which includes Alfords Point, Bangor and Barden Ridge, had 26 active cases, (from 27), while the 2226 postcode (Bonnet Bay, Como and Jannali) had 20 active cases (up from 14).
The 2226 postcode (Bonnet Bay, Como, Jannali) has 20 active cases (up from 14), while the 2233 postcode (Engadine, Heathcote, Waterfall) has 16 active cases (unchanged). Others include:
2224 (Sylvania, Southgate, Kangaroo Point): seven (down from 8); 2225 (Caravan Head, Oyster Bay): five (up from three); 2227 (Gymea area): 10 (down from 11); 2228 (Miranda and Yowie Bay): 14 (down from 17); 2231 (Kurnell): three (up from one);
